Oklahoma Breastfeeding Laws
 

In Oklahoma, mothers have the right to breastfeed in any public location, as long as they are legally allowed to be there. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) offers some workplace protection for breastfeeding employees, but there are no binding workplace laws in Oklahoma to support mothers at work beyond this. Outside of the workplace, breastfeeding laws in Oklahoma are similar to those in any other state: breastfeeding in public is protected by the law.

Employers in Oklahoma “may” provide reasonable break time and a private space (other than a bathroom) to pump at work. (Note: the law encourages, but does not require, employers to provide time and space.) Read the law: Okla. Stat. tit. 40, § 435 (2006)
