Mamava's 2025 Best Airports for Breastfeeding Parents
Airports are ranked annually on departing seat capacity, on-time arrival rates, and passenger amenities. But for breastfeeding travelers, the best airports are the ones that go the extra mile to ensure that there are plenty of lactation spaces to pump or nurse.
To make Mamava’s list of the breast airports for lactation support, airports must provide at least ten lactation spaces. The 2025 list saw some shake-ups compared to our 2024 list as some airports reduced the number of lactation spaces, a few added spaces, and others made our list for the first time. Airports are frequently under construction—which can change their available amenities—so check the airport’s website before you fly.
Pro travel tip: Use the Mamava app to find lactation spaces (not just Mamava pods) in these airports and wherever you go!

For the second year in a row, ORD takes the top prize when it comes to providing breastfeeding parents with the highest number of lactation spaces: ORD provides 8 Mother’s Rooms and 12 Mamava lactation pods—all open 24/7—for a total of 20 lactation spaces! If you’re flying with little ones, you’ll find the Family Lounge in Terminal 2 near Gate F1, as well as a number of convenient vending machines that sell diapers, pacifiers, wipes, snacks, activity kits, and more.

*About our ranking methodology: We started with the 20 busiest airports of 2025 to increase the odds of helping the most parents. From there, airports needed to have at least ten lactation spaces to make our list. While a few airports do list Minute Suites as lactation spaces, we chose not to include these as they aren’t designed for lactation and require parents to pay to access them. We triangulated our data using airport websites, interactive maps, and our app listings. We do our best to keep this list as accurate as possible, but construction and renovation can impact the number of lactation spaces.
